Here we are, the last trip of the year, this time I’m off to the other side of the world…
New Caledonia, not everybody knows about this Island. Located in the Pacific Ocean “right next” to Australia more or less (so you can have an idea).
After 27 hours, we landed in the night, been picked up by my family and headed to our house here.
It’s been 2 years I haven’t gone back to this place, my lovely island.
For once, it’s a totally none-rush holidays, what our days are going to be all about?? Beach, and that’s it.
We went camping on the West Coast for almost a week, celebrated Christmas in the hot water surrounded by fishes and sharks ahah. Meanwhile people were having a pretty cold winter in Europe, I was just swimming, you know, casual 😀
It it a weird feeling though to celebrate christmas evening on the beach with sand instead of snow, yet the champagne was here.
We visited a couple of places that I’m used to go to since my childhood, beaches, islands, hotels, nothing has changed, this island reminds amazing.
But this adventure came to its end really fast, as we were enjoying our last days, it kind of pitched my heart to know my flight back was soon, too soon…
But the shorter you stay, the better you enjoy right ?! (depends on the context)
